Surya is an undergraduate at Keble College, reading English Language and Literature. His interests include seasonality, frustration, and the absurd. He was chosen as a Foyle Young Poet of the Year 2013, and was tutored under David Morley and Jane Draycott. He has been published by publications including Panoptica, Notes, The TSAF Journal, Spleen, and [fig.]. He is a former critic for both Penguin Books and Island Records. His critical work is often published by the Cherwell, with a particular focus on film and exhibition reviews. He has served as co-editor of Notes Oxford for over a year, and has directed two theatrical productions at Oxford, Arcadia (O’Reilly, 2016) and RxJ (Pegasus, 2016).
