Ben Ray is a forgetful, clumsy second year History student at LMH who secretly wishes he’d studied English instead. He writes poetry and prose about the landscape and the experiences around him, loves playing folk fiddle in pub sessions, and enjoys walking around the hills of his native Welsh Borders in crocs at night. As well as running the college poetry pamphlet Slap he goes to various open mic events, has been published in local journals and is having a book of his poetry published this June called ‘After the Poet, the Bar.’ He’s hoping Seven Voices will finally help to alleviate the guilt of writing poetry when he should be studying.
