I am a third-year undergraduate studying English Literature at Wadham College. I enjoy writing poems, and hope that someone will someday like them enough to publish them. One of my favourite quotes about poetry is from Laura Riding: 'Poetry is a sleep-maker for that which sits up late in us listening for the footfall of the future on to-day's doorstep.' My favourite poets include Anne Carson, Jorie Graham and Wallace Stevens. I'm also a musician and songwriter, and a fan of Bob Dylan.
