Catriona is a stereotype. She has a caffeine problem, is reading English at Lincoln College and is over-fond of her brogued boots. She directs plays. She started writing poems and stories as soon as she could form words and hasn't stopped since. In 2013 she was a Foyle Young Poet of the Year, having been commended in 2012, and since then has been published by the Cadaverine and the Isis, and was highly commended in the Timothy Corsellis Prize in 2014. She writes mostly about people in love in nature, resulting in an enduring interest in fairy tales. As well as poetry, Catriona takes occasional photographs, doodles and makes forays into prose fiction.
